What Makes the Prosperity Fund Special

The Prosperity Fund is a collection of our best ideas at our best prices, with client friendly convenience. With the Prosperity Fund we are able to simplify client portfolios, reduce costs and, for non-registered accounts, make a larger percentage of the associated costs tax-deductible.

We have negotiated high net worth pricing which delivers cost savings for all unit holders of the Prosperity Fund.  Unitholders also benefit from reduced trading costs. We have made the account easier to work with, without reducing the quality of the investments or the diversification. Some of our clients who are now invested in the Prosperity Fund have already experienced these benefits.

Prosperity Insights – Save The Date!

The investment philosophy epitomized by the legendary Warren Buffett has been instrumental in the evolution of my own views on wealth creation and stewardship. The Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders meeting has been described as Woodstock for Capitalists. I have been able to attend the on eleven occasions, and I look forward to more.

Traditionally held the first weekend in May in Omaha, Nebraska, the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting is open to all shareholders. I am working on securing meeting credentials for unitholders of the Prosperity Fund, as the Prosperity Fund has 500 ‘B’ shares of Berkshire Hathaway. So if you want to get a chance to see Warren Buffett, stay tuned!

Note: If you don’t want to take the chance of potentially missing out, all we need to do is make sure you own at least one Berkshire ‘B’ share, currently trading around $200 USD. Also, make your travel arrangements early, as Omaha gets pretty busy that weekend.

Meeting information will be posted on berkshirehathaway.com. Recent meetings have been webcast on Yahoo Finance, including the 2019 meeting: finance.yahoo.com/brklivestream

Operations Reminder

Nobody likes fees, but all investments have them. How we deal with fees is a central part to the strategic design of the Prosperity Fund. We are trying to keep them as low as possible, and we are trying to keep them the payment of them from becoming a nuisance.

As a reminder your fund is held at Aligned Capital Partners Inc,, and fees are charged periodically.  We will redeem units of the Prosperity Fund when necessary to cover them. Generally speaking, this will be preferable for investors for two reasons. The first reason is that we can automate the procedure, so we don’t need to be hounding you. The second reason is that we have set aside a percentage of the Prosperity Fund for cash management, and the money that is earmarked to cover fees will  offer the potential to earn a better return than if the cash was sitting idle in your account.

Please see the client documents for a further explanation of these fees.

Recommendations are Welcome!

If you know of anyone whom we should talk to about the Prosperity Fund, or any other financial matter, please feel free to pass along my name, or direct them to the website, bradbrainfinancial.com.

Following a value style of investing, the Prosperity Fund will be a collection of our best ideas, with a Target Asset Allocation of 85% Equities and 15% Cash and Fixed Income.

The Prosperity Fund is appropriate for patient investors looking to grow their money over the long term. It is not appropriate for people looking to speculate, for time frames less than five years, or for people who are not comfortable with market variability. The Prosperity Fund has a minimum purchase of $50,000.

Aligned Capital Partners Inc. is regulated by the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (www.iiroc.ca) and a Member of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (www.cipf.ca).

Please contact Brad Brain or visit http://bradbrainfinancial.com/investments-acpi/ for additional information about the Prosperity Fund. Important information about the Fund is contained in the offering memorandum which should be read carefully before investing.
